Description
The EPCO Illumination Control Fixture Whip (ICFW) is a pre-fabricated, UL-listed solution for efficient illumination and control of lighting systems in commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings. Designed for 120/277 VAC systems, it is suitable for both new construction and retrofit projects, providing a cost-effective alternative to expensive five-conductor MC cable or on-site homemade solutions.
The ICFW integrates seamlessly with LED or fluorescent luminaires, dimming ballasts, LED drivers, and digital controls to:
- Optimize lighting through daylight harvesting, reducing energy consumption.
- Operate according to timed daily schedules for personnel or warehouse lighting.
- Control lighting in combination with occupancy sensors for commercial and industrial applications.
BENEFITS
- UL Listed and Code Compliant – File Number E87199, meets 2026 NEC Articles and California Title 24 Lighting Controls standards.
- Integrated Power & Control Circuits – Combines Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 circuits within a single fixture whip, reducing the need for multiple cables.
- Labor-Saving Pre-Fabrication – Reduces installation time, on-site wiring errors, and contractor labor costs compared to field-built solutions.
- Supports Smart Building Applications – Compatible with LED and fluorescent dimming systems, occupancy sensors, and daylight harvesting controls.
- Flexible for Retrofit or New Construction – Works in existing buildings or new construction projects with minimal modifications.
- Optimized for Wireless Lighting Controls – Enables pre-fabricated integration with relay modules or LED drivers for dimming and smart control.
- Cost-Effective Solution – Avoids the expense and complexity of five-conductor MC cable or homemade wiring setups.
